We strives to be like the early church in the areas of sound doctrine, fellowship and love. Bible records that the early church break bread from house to house. This is the vision behind the Encounter groups.

Encounter groups are our home cell or house fellowship centres across the city of South Shields. Presently we have about 7 encounter groups and still growing into new neighbourhoods. Encounter groups are very vital to our Church community. Below are reasons why everyone in VA is advised and encouraged to join an Encounter group.

Encounter groups helps:

1. to thoroughly monitor our welfare.
2. to create a family atmosphere where people are better known and loved
3. to extend the love of Jesus to our local communities by helping to meet needs wherever possible.
4. to create a means of evangelism and discipleship to people who may not attend Church.
