Brief:

Mighty Ones Ministry is established in Living Faith with a mission to affect the sphere of teenage influence in and around South Shields, its neighbouring counties, cities, countries even as the Lord enlarges our territory. Even as the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness in it. We are the generation with zeal and passion for the Kingdom of God.

Vision:

To raise up an Army of teenagers for Christ. The Mighty Ones consists of Teens, aged 12 - 17.

Agenda

Teaching the young people the ‘Clarity of the Gospel’ and helping them build a solid foundation of faith through personal relationship with Jesus.
Our Topics include:
A generation that knows Christ but choose sin.
Double-mindedness in its rawness.
A choice of the blessing/the curse.
Innovative ways to keep the young people in the Army of God
Making our boast in God (Psalm 34:2a)
It is ‘cool’ to know Jesus. It is the coolest thing to be Christ-Like.

Providing answers to such questions:

So what about boyfriends/girlfriends? Can I date?
My friends will laugh at me if I mention Jesus I am having an identity crisis. I’ve grown up in church, but I also want to be popular. I want to be like others my age who do what they want.
What exactly does Jesus have to offer me?
Can I survive this world knowing that everybody else my age is wanting to kiss, have sex, be naughty, try smoking/drugs etc Child abuse, molestation.
What about the wounds I have had since I was a child

Practical teaching of the Word of God.

Informal discussion settings where teens have a relevant and quality time in God’s presence. Issues we discuss includes: Spiritual gifts/callings, Who is the Holy Spirit? Why speak in tongues? Why don’t I understand?

Our Strategy:

Every Friday, we have prayer/praise/worship with the church. Thereafter, we will be having our service in the Teen`s Church. For our service, we use the Teen`s Sunday School Manual as a guide.

Often we will arrange for a Youth Minister to share the Word. This would be a Minister specifically for this age group within Living Faith and outside.

Networking with other teen agencies and ministries outside VA is at the heart of this Ministry.

A journal is usually given to every Mighty One to encourage them to keep a record of what they are going through so that the group can have discussions.

We pray collectively about our struggles and we aim to find solutions in the Word

From time to time we do request to have a slot in the church services where the Mighty Ones can minister in songs, dance, rap, drama, poetry etc.

We are believing God for men who are burdened for young people to support this work. We are believing God for dedicated Christ loving Youth Ministers for this specific age bracket even as the Lord has instructed. We are also trusting God to give us new and effective ideas to raise the funds for this Ministry.
